Vacuum glass

What is Vacuum Glass?

Vacuum glass by LandGlass™ is a high-performance insulation technology that uses a vacuum layer between two glass panes to significantly improve thermal insulation in windows and doors. The unique features of this glass make it ideal for passive buildings. Vacuum glass is also an excellent alternative to single glazing, which is often required for many historical buildings. Windows and doors equipped with vacuum glass offer outstanding thermal transmittance parameters while maintaining the appearance of single-pane glass. LandGlass™ is the only manufacturer in the world that offers a unique low-temperature sealing technology, which prevents the issue of tempered glass annealing during production. The result of this process is a significantly higher vacuum level and longer product lifespan. LandGlass™ has also developed a high-standard quality control system to inspect raw materials, monitor production processes and inspect final products with world-leading instruments and testing technologies. This ensures a focus on safety and the thermal insulation performance of LandVac™. We can guarantee that every LandVac™ product meets the highest quality standards.

How Does It Work?

Our LandVac™ Enhance vacuum glass is made from two panes of tempered glass available in few thicknesses, between which a 0.3 mm vacuum gap is formed once they are joined together. During production, the air from the inter-pane space is evacuated, the unit is sealed and finally, the application of this unique technology creates a vacuum.

During this process, both panes of tempered glass are subjected to immense atmospheric pressure, which makes it necessary to use micro-spacers. Despite their small size, these micro-spacers allow both panes to be safely separated.

Furthermore, the innovative design of LandVac™ Enhance vacuum glass has been engineered without visible evacuation ports or getters (as seen in the previous Heritage version), resulting in a more aesthetic appearance and providing an excellent alternative to slim double glazing or single glazing units.

Where Vacuum Glazing is Especially Beneficial in Application?

Why Choose Vacuum Glass from LandVac™?

Vacuum Glass vs. Traditional Solutions

Vacuum glass differs from traditional single glazing and double or triple glazing units filled with gases like Argon or Krypton in many ways.

The key advantages of vacuum glass are:

It offers significantly better thermal, insulation and acoustic performance
It is lighter and thinner
It is tempered and safe
It helps save energy
It provides noise reduction
It does not suffer from condensation
